Creating a password-protected directory using cPanel Print

To create a password-protected directory on your website from within cPanel, do the following:

1. Login to cPanel via www.YOURWEBSITE.com.au/cpanel
2. Disable FrontPage Extensions, if they are enabled, by going to FrontPage Extensions and clicking Uninstall Extensions
3. Go to Password Protect Directories
4. Choose Web Root and click Go
5. Click the directory you wish to protect
6. Check the box labelled Password protect this directory and enter a name; click Save
7. Follow the instructions to create a user who can login to this directory
