SpamExperts Spam Filter - General Information Print

  • 1

How It Works

When you activate our SpamExperts Spam Filter add-on for one of your domains, incoming emails are passed through a spam checking service before reaching your mailbox. If it's spam, then the email is immediately rejected -- this means if a legitimate email is erroneously marked as spam (which could happen, for example, if the sender's email provider is on a blacklist because they have been used to send spam), the sender will receive a bounce notifying them that their email was not delivered.

Setup

If you have just ordered the SpamExperts Spam Filter service through us, and if Precedence already manages the DNS records associated with your domain, then everything will be set up by us for you and you'll receive an email to confirm when it's in place. If you manage your own DNS records with a different domain registrar, then we'll send you an email with the changes you will need to make to your domain's MX records.

If you haven't yet ordered the service, you can do so here:

Pricing

The SpamExperts Spam Filter is a commercial licensed product. It costs $5.50 per month.

You do not need to be a Precedence web hosting customer to purchase this service from us. But if you are, then we can align the billing period with your web hosting service so you receive a single invoice from us.

Control Panel

You can login to a control panel to view rejected messages and configure various settings relating to the spam filtering service. See the link below for more information.
